How to compost them?
To compost them at home, remove any labels, cut them up and place in your compost bin. These will completely break down within 120-150 days sometimes even sooner! Like a banana peel 😉
No compost bin?
They still break down in landfill however it takes a little longer.
Do they break down on the shelf?
No, they won’t if you keep them in cool and dry conditions, out of direct sunlight. They need to be mixed into soil/compost and get the right moist and temperature to start to transform.
